The sooner I speak to clients, the better! As soon as the house goes on the market, we can be planning what needs to be moved, unpacked and organised and what the new home’s requirements will be. Even better, is for clients to consider their belongings and what they need in their new home before they put their house on the market and we can help with this stage too.

The MOST valuable thing to do ahead of a move is to declutter properly before a single box is even filled. Many people pack everything and deal with the excess at the other end, thinking they might need it but moving unwanted items is a stressful waste of time and money.. Go room by room, be honest about what you use and love and let go of the rest. And if you need help, get in contact, we’d be happy to help declutter.

Best practice is to let the removal people do their job day one and get all boxes and furniture on site. We will give you the Night One Essentials Checklist so you can stay comfortably overnight. We then come in the morning of Day 2 and get cracking, unpacking boxes and getting you organised into the rooms you have asked for help with. Some homeowners want help just with key rooms like the kitchen and master bedroom, others need the whole space tackled by us and that is a matter of preference and budget.

To make the most of the time and ensure we work as efficiently as possible, our team works alone in each room. This allows us to focus on creating a considered, organised result and the client to get on with their day. You can brief us before we arrive or in the morning if there is a particular set up you would like (e.g. certain items close to hob, tops folded or hung etc) You may want to take charge of a particular room yourself. We agree at the start of the day which rooms you're handing over to us. Rest assured that we check in with clients throughout the day to ensure that the set up is going exactly as they would like!

Some clients choose not to be at the property on Day 2 at all (because they are working or looking after little ones) or they pop in and out to run errands. We will always have a clear plan of what you need us to unpack and organise so you don’t need to be on site.
